Last night Sean and I went on a date to the movies and one of the previews was for "Julia and Julie" The movie is about Julia Childs and another character named Julie. Watching the preview I decided that I was going to do a similiar thing to Julie.
What she did was (short story) cooked out of Julia Childs cook book for an enitre year and blogged about her results.
I LOVED to cook and LOVE to bake. SO, I am going to go buy a good cook book and cook/bake out of it atleast once a week. I have been talking about making something new one night a week for awhile, but now I am officially setting the goal. I looked at costco today for a good cook book, but nothing jumped out at me. I am going to do a little research and then get going.
Don't worry everyone, I will not turn out like grandma and have scrapbooks of recipes. Also I will not hord cooking magizens. lol. Oh grams. She had so many recipe books and I am not to sure why, she only cooked maybe 10 recipes.
Stay tuned for my cooking results. I am excited.

Court
We went to court yesterday and with the G.A.L.s recommendation not in our favor, we were not anticipating a good out come. Sean's lawyer was slightly late and we didn't have much time to prep with what we thought were important key notes. Stephanie represented herself, (which was very interesting, comical and aggravating all rolled into one) so she called her boyfriend as a witness and then she was a witness. Sean finally took the stand and was question by his lawyer and then cross examined by Stephanie.....THIS took FOREVER. I think she had like 70 questions for him.
But without going into depth, the judge took two recesses to read up on the case and to make his decision. The last recess was almost 2 hours. He finally came in and started reading all him findings. Everything looked really good for us, but we were waiting for the big BUT. It never came and when he finally was done talking Stephanie started arguing with the Judge. The Judge ruled in our favor and granted us our relocation and over ruled the G.A.L.s recommendation. The Judge definitely did his homework and sited records and situations that were not brought up yesterday. He also said that Sean can complete the Final parenting plan.
So this is it. There is no more court, no more G.A.L. The only way Stephanie can take us back to court is if there is a life changing event.

Lost for words
Sean goes to court on Tuesday for custody of Jade. It is supposed to be the end all be all and be the final decision. We were told in March that we needed to live in Yakima and make the preparations for that. We have. Jenny, the G.A.L. who has been assigned to the case met with all of us at our homes and interviewed Jade. Both times Jade said that he was excited for the move to Yakima and is ready for a change. We submitted all the paperwork required and of course Stephanie filed motions against ours.
I just checked my email and I received an email from Seans lawyer and it was Jennys recommendation to the court...It was extremely lengthy and I was sick to my stomach while skimming the report and from what I was gathering it doesn't look good.
I am praying that on Tuesday the judge looks at all the paperwork and makes a decision that would truly be best for Jade.
I know that I am his step-mom, but I have taken care of Jade for three years and the thought of not having him with us everyday is very upsetting. I have devoted so much time, love and care towards him to think of not having that is devastating. Our family has just grown to a family of four and we will always be a family regardless of where Jade lives, I just hope that he always feels part of our family and never feels like a visitor. I don't know what to say, I am just completely at a lose.
